Whirl-Pak sterile sampling bags
a reliable alternative to glass containers for the collection, storage, and transport of samples of any type

Whirl-Pak bags are flexible, sterile containers made of low-density polyethylene film, designed for sample collection and storage in laboratory and industrial settings. They are manufactured by the American company Nasco. The bag features an integrated wire strip at the top. To seal it securely, simply grasp the ends of the wire and twist them three or four times, or fold the strip tightly. This design prevents leaks and protects the sample during transport. Whirl-Pak sterile bags — leak-proof bags for sample collection and transport
The bag is opened along a perforation, and special non-slip Tyvek tabs positioned perpendicular to the opening allow the sample to be retrieved without fingers touching the interior surface. The bags are gas-sterilized after manufacture. They remain sterile for five years from the date of processing, and a manufacturer's certificate is included. The material is free of RNase, DNase, pyrogens, and bisphenol A, and complies with FDA, USDA, HACCP, and EPA requirements. The products are available in several versions. Standard bags range in volume from 59 ml to 2041 ml. Black bags are designed for light-sensitive samples. Stand-up models feature a bottom that expands upon filling, allowing the bag to stand upright without a rack. Bags with an integrated scoop come with a sterile tool for collecting semi-solid samples. Filter models contain a layer with 330-micrometer pores to separate solid particles during pipetting. The permissible operating temperature range is -196°C to +82°C. Freezing is possible down to liquid nitrogen temperatures.
